“Being Carré, designed by Bolanile Maté, is inspired by architectural design and blueprints—think inky papers and scraps strewn across a 1920s drafting table. We imagine that the architect, fed up with the constraints of Bauhaus designs, leaves the Staatliches Bauhaus in search of spiritualism only to find that they prefer a life of limitations. The design is geometric, using a limited primary color palette, with hints of turquoise, because we believe this imaginary architect lives by the sea.”
